Intizar Hussain was a prolific literary writer who wrote for almost seven decades. During this long literary epoch, he not only created novel and fictional master pieces, but he also devoted his time for criticism, drama, biography, columns, and translation of literary works of other languages. His work in above mentioned literary genres consists of more than two dozen books. Except for these books, several essays are on his credit. Along with Urdu and Persian literature, he was well versed in English and American literatures. Most of his translations comprise of Russian Literature. Chekhov, Leo Tolstoy and Dostovsky are his favorite writers. Thus the range of his creativity is very vast
